PES Student Advisory Luncheon with Dr. Nakia Hardy
Dr. Nakia Hardy recently led a Student Advisory Luncheon at Pickett Elementary School (PES), providing students with the opportunity to share their thoughts, ideas, and experiences in a welcoming environment. This interactive session allowed students to voice their perspectives on school programs, policies, and initiatives while fostering a sense of community and inclusion. Dr. Hardy is committed to ensuring that student voices are heard and valued as part of the district’s efforts to promote an engaging and supportive educational experience for all.

On October 15, our community came together for an engaging evening at Southwest Elementary Global Academy. Attendees enjoyed a delicious meal while sharing their valuable insights and feedback. Each participant received a raffle ticket, and we are excited to announce the big winners of our Walmart and Food Lion gift cards!

2025 Open enrollment for The State Health Plan is September 30 - October 25, 2024!
Beginning January 1, 2025 The State Health Plan will transition from Blue Cross NC to Aetna. Please read below for important information:
During open enrollment, all members will need to participate in Open Enrollment, including new employees who have recently signed up for health insurance.
Members will need to complete the tobacco attestation online during Open Enrollment in both plans to reduce premiums for both plans.
Because of the transition to Aetna, all members will need to select a primary care provider (PCP) during Open Enrollment.
